A teenager drowned in a Western Kansas lake, and authorities say he didn't know how to swim.

Park rangers at Lake Meade in Meade County say the victim was a 16-year-old Guatemalan boy from Guymon, OK. He was in the swimming area and got into water over his head Friday. Since he was not able to swim, it caused him to drown.

It was the teenagers first visit a lake. His name is not being released at this time.
