Fire broke out at the Andale High School on Sunday. Smoke and flames damaged much of the building, but school officials say it’s something they can deal with.
That’s because they were almost finished moving out of that building and into the new high school just next door.
Investigators say the fire started in the chemistry lab, the only room left to be cleaned out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The old high school was to become the district’s new office building. Those plans are on hold for now.
About 350 students attend Andale High School.
