A Central Kansas man was hurt when the tractor he was riding was hit by a train.

The accident happened south of Caneiro Monday at 3:10 p.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said a tractor driven by Harry Black, 51, of Brookville, pulled into the path of a Union Pacific train.

Black was taken to Ellsworth County Hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.

No one on the train was hurt, and no cars derailed.

The crossing does not have crossing arms.
