Quite frankly, I am not disappointed because there is no way to know for sure how the well the wind farms would work out and because good or bad Texas would pay for it.

I am sure PETA will be on this one to get them to not build the wind farm as it will kill the birds :)

the electric companies own the power lines. they also own coal mines, how does wind power stand a chance?

Pickens found out he couldn't make money in Texas so that is why he won't build it. Plus it is too close to his own back yard.
