Another person has been arrested in connection to a Wichita homicide that happened two months ago.
Ronald Betts, 33, was shot and killed during what police call a drug deal gone wrong in the 400 block of North Emporia on April 18.
Investigators believe three men were allowed into the residence.
A short time later, multiple gunshots were fired. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and was found lying in the front doorway of a residence. He was taken to an area hospital in extremely critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Two days after the shooting, two people were taken into custody. A third was arrested soon after.
Friday morning, police announced the arrest of a fourth person, 18-year-old John Carter. He was arrested following a car stop in the 1900 block of East 13th. Police say he is a documented gang member.
Officers are still looking for additional suspects. This was the fifth homicide of the year in Wichita.
