4 Men Escape Kay County, OK Jail
Kansas and Oklahoma authorities are on the lookout for four escapees from an Oklahoma jail.

Kansas and Oklahoma authorities have been alerted to be on the lookout for four escapees from the Kay County, OK, jail in Newkirk. The escape was reported early Thursday morning. The men should be considered dangerous.

A vehicle was also stolen during the jailbreak. Missing is a 4-door vehicle bearing a license tag of 961-AXN. Their intended direction is unknown at this time.

One of the men was reportedly injured during the incident, which happened between 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. when the four men slipped out a window at the Newkirk facility.

The names of the men are as follows:

Ponca Green, 29
Benito Jose Bustos, 44
Doyle Dwayne Bertschy, 44
Kenneth Wayne Sherrod, 53
