A man driving a Ford Explorer heading southbound on K-27 around 6 p.m. Tuesday drove into the west ditch, over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle.

The driver, 56-year-old Eugene Hackerott of Weskan, went back across the roadway into the east ditch. The vehicle rolled twice, flipped end-over-end once and ejected the driver and passenger before coming to rest in the east ditch on the driver’s side.

Both the driver and passenger, 78-year-old Lavern Kuder of Weskan, were killed.
