The bible tells us "there is only one mediator between man and God, the Lord Jesus Christ". So that tells me if you were to pray to someone else's soul your prayers are useless. As I said before, go back to your bibles, not what man has been telling you.

"God Lover"....Exactly Elizabeth. We believe that everyone has a soul. When the person dies, the soul does not. When you are alive on this earth, I might ask you to pray for me. When you are dead, I am asking your soul to pray for me. Same thing here. That is where we get it all from. We are not praying to the saints as Gods themselves people. We are praying and asking them to help us. Sorry if you don't understand, but sometimes we forget just the things that have been going on for 2000 years. You know, regardless if you are Catholic or Baptist, Muslim, whatever, this young man is a miracle. The Dr.'s had told the family get his affairs in order and basically gave them NO hope. I do believe in the power of prayer. It doesn't matter if you pray to the saints or to God, I believe.
