For the first time in four years, Reno County has a new county administrator.
The Reno County Commission announced Wednesday that it had chosen McPherson City Clerk/Administrator Gary Meagher to take over the job on Aug. 1. He'll be paid a base salary of $105,000, along with other benefits.
The job has been vacant since the county dismissed its first administrator, Ed Williams, four years ago.
The 57-year-old Meagher was Lindsborg city administrator before becoming McPherson city administrator 11 years ago.
