Republic County has confirmed its first case of H1N1 flu.
State health officials say a child has contracted the virus, but offered no other details.
So far, 109 cases of H1N1 flu have been confirmed in Kansas. The highest totals have been in Geary County with 25 cases, and Riley County with 24.
