Rachel: When you say “personal pleasure”; one must assume you are referring to those who hunt and hang animal heads on their walls. I guess; anyway, humans have been consuming flesh for too long to change; it is our inherent behavior, face it. As for this so-called comparison, you are justifying your ignorant remark by comparing the slaughter of animals to humans? And Rachel, I do not lack first-hand knowledge of the treatment of animals prior to entering the abattoir (you better look that up.) Perhaps, you should do a little research, what do you know of the cow-calf operation? What do you know of animal transport? The animals receive adequate protection from the elements, veterinarian attention; and Rachel, the slaughter (harvest) is done quickly and without pain. In other words Rachel, these animals typically are treated far better than those at “The Humane Society.” Rachel, humans by nature, are omnivores, we can eat animal flesh if we so choose. Thanks for reading my comment.

I'm glad they aren't leasing PETA the signs, but the reason is wrong. They should lease them signs because PETA is a bunch of whacked out, liberal weirdos. Not because a killer got killed.

The PETA people are barking up the wrong tree here, we love me here in Kansas. Not to mention very poor taste in timing considering what just happened. We don't shove what we choose eat down their throats, so I would appreciate if you wouldn't shove your way of eating down mine.

I'm an animal lover but PETA gives me a pain. If all the right to life people are being held accountable directly or indirectly responsible for Tiller's murder, then PETA should be held accountable for the bombings of laboratories that did animal testing.

I could not expect anything less from most of the people of Wichita. Pretty pathetic. It's alright to kill hundreds of animals a year for personal pleasure, but people say it is not ok for abortion. Killing is wrong no matter how you look at the situation. And to ksgirl...apparently you lack firsthand knowledge of the process in which the animals go through when on their trip to the slaughter house. Kansas and its people will never be progressive, they are stuck in an ignorant state of mind.

How ironic. PETA stomps their hankies over the way animals are treated, yet these same people will stand idlly by while humans abuse each other! PETA = PITA

So I pondered this article over a ribeye.....and I still think PETA is demented, sick and wrong. I'm glad I took time to reflect though, the marinade was perfect!

There current ad campaign is just in bad taste! To try to use someone's death as a way to advertise???? Think of the family of Dr. Tiller. How would you feel if it was your family and some group was using there death to advertise???? BTW, all this PETA talk has made me crave a big juicy steak..............anyone else?
