Heavy thunderstorms moved through the state overnight and early Friday morning. Thousands of Westar Energy customers lost power in the storms. Many have their power back on now, except those in Butler County, which appears to have been hit the hardest.
Butler County emergency crews say the town of Towanda was the hardest hit.
Westar said it could take 3-4 days to have all power restored in Butler County.
