Meteorologists have determined straight line winds caused most of the storm damage in Harvey, Butler and Marion Counties Sunday.
Meteorologists from the National Weather Service office in Wichita toured the damage Monday. They determined damage in the Walton area was likely the result of straight line winds, estimated at 70 to 90 miles per hour.
Much of the damage in Butler County was also caused by straight line winds. Meteorologists said there is evidence of a possible touchdown of a small tornado in a treeline four miles south of Potwin. That storm would be rated an EF-0.
The National Weather Service earlier determined a weak tornado also touched down near Lake Afton, west of Wichita.
