Authorities across Kansas have a message for residents. Stay at home. More than fifty accidents have been reported in Wichita since Midnight. Most roads are covered in ice and snow.
Emergency crews are having a difficult time reaching some stranded motorists. The Pratt County Sheriff's Department said some stranded motorists have been rescued. One man spent more than eight hours stranded in his vehicle.
All roads in and out of Kingman County have been closed due to blowing and drifting snow.

Roads and highways are slick across KAKEland. Many highways in Southwest Kansas are closed, while in the Wichita area, roads are covered with sleet. Sedgwick County emergency crews have responded to 100 accidents. Most have been fender benders or cars that slide off the road.
EARP is also in effect in Wichita. If you are involved in a non-injury accident, the cars are driveable, and no alcohol is involved, exchange insurance information and fill out an accident form within 48 hours. Forms are available at police substations, QuikTrips and on the link posted below.
