The Wichita Police Department's child identification program is now faster than ever thanks to a new computer system.
Police are offering to take a child's picture and fingerprints to have on file in case they are lost or abducted. From the file they can easily generate posters of the child and even put their picture up on the internet.
The Wichita Police Department plans to buy four of the new computers, one for each substation. The faster system allows more children to be kept on record.
