A 21-year-old driver carrying four teens was killed in a single-car accident.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Thursday in Osage County. The driver was traveling northbound on Paulen Road at a high rate of speed. When his teenage passengers told him to slow down, he hit the brakes too hard. The vehicle left the roadway, became airborne and rolled.
The driver, identified as Anthony Culbertson of Overbrook, and two of the passengers were ejected. Culbertson was not wearing his seatbelt.
All four teenagers, aged 15 to 18 years old, were taken to the hospital with injuries. Only the 18-year-old passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
