Chanute Infant Dies of Injuries

A Chanute, KS, infant has passed away from injuries he suffered Wednesday. 3 month-old Denton Marrs was flown by air ambulance to a Wichita hospital and had been in intensive care since the incident.
Meanwhile, Adam Marrs, 23, has been charged in the felony murder of the child. Investigators suspected child abuse and Chanute police arrested Marrs, who is believed to be the baby's father.
The felony murder charge was filed in court Friday, shortly after the infant passed away. Marrs is being held on a $500,000 bond while officials continue to investigate.
