Though playing games is a new trend among college students, some say gaming affects their social and academic lives. A new study finds seventy percent of college students play video, computer or online games at least once in awhile.
One of every five students says playing games helps them make new friends and improves existing friendships. But almost half say gaming prevents them from studying.
Nearly half of the men surveyed say they play games for fun. About thirty-three percent of women say they mostly play games when they are bored.
