Investigators will fan out again this weekend seeking clues in the 1999 disappearance of an 11-year-old south-central Kansas boy.

Adam Herrman was last seen while living with his adoptive family in Butler County. His disappearance was never reported by the adoptive parents, Valerie and Doug Herrman. A tip brought the case to light in November.

Searchers have already combed an empty lot near Towanda where the Herrmans' mobile home once stood. Two weeks ago they also searched the banks of the nearby Whitewater River for any evidence.

Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy says the search will pick up on Saturday, focusing on another part of the riverbank.

Murphy says there's no new evidence in the case.

Adam Herrman would now be 21 years old.
