Schools in Goodland, Kansas were placed on lockdown Monday morning, as police searched for a man with a knife.

The "Goodland Star News" reports the incident started around 8 a.m. when a woman was attacked by the man outside a daycare center. The woman ran inside a daycare center and called police. The incident happened near a school, so administrators placed all Goodland schools on lockdown. Schools returned to normal status by noon.

The suspect has not been found. He was described as a white man, 20-25 years old, six feet tall and wearing all black.

The woman told police she did not know her attacker. She was only bruised in the incident.
