Wichita Police have captured the person they believe was responsible for a daring robbery and kidnapping of a shopper at Towne East Mall on December 19th.

The 21 year-old female was arrested Saturday night at a West Wichita home. She is being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, possession of meth, and possession of marijuana. Her bond is set at $100,000.

The incident happened on 12/19 between 8:30 and 9 p.m. A female shopper was approached in the parking lot of the mall by another woman who was holding a handgun. The armed woman forced the victim to withdraw money from an ATM and then was driven to the area of 143rd Street East and Pawnee, where she was forced to get out of the car.

The vehicle was found in South Wichita later that evening.
