A 41 year-old man and his 10 year-old son are reported in critical condition after a van rolled over in Southeast Sedgwick County. The accident happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday near 119th Street South and Greenwich Rd.

Segdwick County Sheriff Lieutenant Brad Hoch says it's unclear how the accident happened or if a patch of ice may have caused the driver to lose control. He does, however, says the driver was likely doing about 60 miles-per-hour.

The minivan rolled over and landed in a small creek bed. The boy was thrown from his seat and landed partially in the water. The father was pinned inside the wreckage for about 10 minutes after rescue crews arrived.

Both father and son were rushed to Wichita hospitals with potentially critical injuries.
