A published report says Vice President Dick Cheney will headline a major Republican fund-raiser Monday night in Wichita.
The Topeka Capital-Journal says the dinner (Hyatt Regency) carries a price tag of $1,000 per plate. The money goes for GOP candidates in the November general election.
Cheney's office won't confirm the vice president's schedule until two days before a planned event -- for security concerns.
But the executive director of the Kansas Republican Party, Kari Austin, says more than 3,000 invitations have been sent. All four Kansas GOP gubernatorial candidates are among those invited to appear.
