Investigators say the deaths of three people whose bodies were found this week in a southeast Kansas travel trailer were the result of a murder-suicide.
Fredonia police chief Doug McKenna says 35-year-old Chris Rutchman apparently shot and killed 29-year-old Rebecca Studebaker, then killed himself with the same gun.
McKenna says Studebaker's seven-month-old son died two to three days after the shooting, from dehydration.
Rutchman was a journeyman electrician who lived in the trailer in the small southeast Kansas town. McKenna says the man and woman had been seeing each other for a relatively short time.
