A Wichita woman gets away when two men try to abduct her. Now, police want to find out if the attempted abduction is related to another daylight attack from last week.
It happened around nine o'clock this morning on the 900 block of North Broadway.
The woman had just dropped off her kids at school. She was on her way home when a blue van pulled up. Two hispanic men were inside. They tried to grab the woman but she fended them off with her umbrella and purse, and got away.
The woman ran to her apartment and called police. A short time later, police pulled over a van at 17th and Hydraulic. Police took an hispanic man in his 30's into custody. The woman identified the man as her attacker. The other man was nowhere to be found. Police are still searching for him.
Police believe the men may have been responsible for another attack. Police are looking into whether these two men are responsible for the rape in the Gordman's parking lot last week. In both cases, the victims say a blue van and two hispanic men were involved. Police are investigating the similarities.
