The accused killer of Cowley County Community College student Jodi Sanderholm has been returned to the county jail. Sources close to the investigation tell KAKE News that Justin Thurber's competency evaluation at the Larned State Mental Hospital has been completed.

The results of the evaluation are not being released. However, Thurber's next court appearance is scheduled for December 16th when the results will be discussed in open court.

If Thurber is found competent to stand trial, jury selection would begin in late January of next year. Trial is now expected in February.
