Garden City Police Respond To Shooting

On Wednesday October 15, 2008 at approximately 3:52 a.m. officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to 2604 Chainey Street Apartment 3, in Garden City for a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Finney County EMS transported the victim to St. Catherine Hospital where he underwent surgery for his wound.
He is expected to survive. Officers are still investigating the incident; however, it appears as if the wound was self-inflicted. It is unknown whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
