I am so sick of the whinning over Extreme Makeover coming to town. The ones you don't here anything from. All are the true human beings that makes this America. Noone has said anything about the whole police department who lost their homes and the City Councilmen & women who also lost their homes and were displaced by the tragity that night. They all picked up and volunteered hours to Extreme Makeover and no whinning about this, that, and the other so my opinion is get your bottle and get over it.

Layoff noticed will go out to over 2000 employess this week at Cessna. I would like someone to answer to why after laying off 500 workers in November that Cessna paid quarterly bonuses to Managers and Senior leadership. Will they forgo the March bonuses to save jobs? Shouldn't they have done that first prior to laying off 500 workers.

To Janet, Alto NM, The nursing home located in the North part of Chapman KS was O.K. when I was there the day after they were running on generators, but most of the town not effected was still out of power.

What a wonderful show that is! Not only did they help the original family but they helped many in the community help themselves! It is a pleasure to watch how folks can come together in a time of need and reach out to those around them, even when they themselves need help. Not to sound corny but when Ty and his crew show up to a location it is as if an Angel has arrived and you know things will be alright! Thanks to all that helped in the effort and good luck to the rest of Chapman on your continuing rebuilding effort. I tear up each week while watching Extreme Makeover but this week was one of the most emotional yet! God Bless America!

I think that the show was great! The family very much deserved that home. The show brought me to tears. My husband is in the army and I know how hard it is for them to be deployed. The community came together to help one family and that is a community that I would want to live in. God Bless that family and the whole community. They very much deserved the makeover.

Amazing job Extreme Makeover! I just finished watching this episode and it brought tears to my eyes! I may not be from Kansas, but I do have friends with family in Kansas. To see how a the Chapman community all came together to help build not just one families home, but others as well is amazing. God Bless all of the families who were touched by Extreme Makeover and God Bless the men and women who helped make it possible.

Great work Extreme Makeover! My family was in tears for two hours watching this episode of the Home Edition. We were so thrilled that you were able to help our close friends Pat & Daina Irvine too. Pat & Diana are truly two very deserving residents of Chapman, Home of the Irish! God Bless to everyone that made this possible to those families that call their home town Chapman!

Just wondered what damage was incurred at the Nursing Home. My grandmother lived there a few years ago. Thanks!

All I beg of the citizens of Chapman is do the work yourself. I have seen my area go from a beautiful proud town to one of crime by allowing illegals to come in a work. Our schools, parks, etc are littered. Our children can no longer go out and play. Gang violence which was non existent is now rampant. We no longer have sense of community as it has been lost to a third world plunder.

The strength in Chapman is so incredibly strong and tears come to my eyes at the incredible love that radiates within the town. God bless you all for your courage and strength in teh toughest of times.

I would have to say... everyone here is complaining about oh the taxes are going to be soo high! Well if the family thinks about it... if they set so much money aside each month they won't have to worry about the taxes. Pretty much set the money aside like your paying your mortgage. Yea sure the taxes will be high at the end of the year but if they budget like 500$ a month thats 6000 set aside for their taxes for the end of the year. 500$ a month would be a lot less than what their mortgage would be. But then again some people are just more greatful then others and appreciates and accepts what they get. These people sitting here complaining about this family getting this home is just jealous. And probably has never had a life crisis and when they have they've had someone bail them out and never thought or realized someone did help them. God bless this family.

Why , why is there still all of this bickering after a week ? You people need to grow up . Why don't all of you instead of getting on here and dogging ABC or the Family who got the house go out and think of creative ideas to help folks of Chapman out ? No, none of you can do that but you sure can sit on the computer and hide behind a anonymous name and run your mouths . To the grandmother of the little girl that lost her mom shame on you . Plus you need to get spell check . Stop the bickering and remember we live in a country that provides us with the choice to do what we want . All of you had the right to send in a video to ABC and get your house of choice rebuilt , did any of you ? Evidently not . So stop acting like kids and stop hiding behind your computer . God bless ABC for there ability to do what they've done for your community .
