A man is recovering in the hospital after he was stabbed overnight in southeast Wichita.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., Wichita Police Sgt. Newman Charles said officers discovered a 42-year-old man with two stab wounds in the 800 Blk. of S. Erie.
Charles said officers were not able to talk with the victim long before he was rushed to a Wichita hospital in serious condition.
Newman said the victim and his girlfriend said two men entered a residence and stabbed him. The man then walked over to a neighbor's house and asked them to call 911.
However, Newman also said the pair provided sketchy descriptions of the suspects and no merchandise was taken from the home. Investigators are trying to establish a motive.
