A Butler County woman was killed early today when her vehicle was struck by a lawn service truck.
The accident happened around 6:55 a.m. on SW 180th and Prairie Creek Road, northeast of Rose Hill.
Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy said the truck did not stop at a stop sign and struck a car broadside. The driver of the car, a woman from the Rose Hill area, died at the scene. The truck driver was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
The names of the victim should be released this weekend.
