Police say a man was killed in an accident involving a deer while riding his motorcycle early Monday morning. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Joshua Skibbe from Geuda Springs.
The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m.
According to police, Skibbe was traveling southbound on Oxford Road about 12 miles southwest of Winfield when he hit the deer and was thrown from the bike.
Skibbe was dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet and was said to be traveling at a high rate of speed, around 100 miles per hour.
