Boeing To Begin Contract Talks With SPEEA Workers
Boeing is nearly two weeks into a strike by its largest union. While that strike continues, the plane-maker will soon be entering contract talks with its second largest union.

Oh come on! Where are all the haters?Weeks of bad mouthing IAM and now nothing?Myself I'm IAM, and my wife is SPEEA...come on, I'm missing you guys already! You probably still need time to clean up after the flooding, I understand and hope everything is okay.DisgustedSpiritWife...yeah we played right into their hands! No new production, Boeing losing $100m per day, we're out of paychecks, insurance is running out, and the 787 will be pushed back another 15 months in addition to the supplier delays caused already. You're right...we must be in colusion with Boeing management.Oh wait, Spirit gets to fix its supply chain management problems and get caught up much like the rest of the companies Boeing outsources to...who's hands did you say were in this together?

They don't want to talk to the Union yet- give them enough ime to get out of the penalties for the majory delayed 787- the strike was the loophole to get out of major $$. Look for the strike to continue until Nov/Dec if the workers will hold out that long... IAM played right into their hands (well, it isn't as though their hands aren't in this together, really...)

It sounds like Boeing doesn't care one bit about anyone but their "bigwigs". They don't want to give to the people who actually make their product, but they give millons to all their bigwigs. If things don't change, businesses will look to Airbus to provide airplanes instead of Boeing. Then all those people making millons will have to start worrying about their jobs too.

Why don't they just try to settle with the IAM first? They aren't even try to talk to the union there.
