I'm a student at south and in total there were like 5 accidents by the school that morning because they "couldn't see" and it really sucks when you get to school late because of all the accidents.
The deer comment was sarcasm, in reference to another recent hit and run. Does not matter if the kid was crossing on red, the driver has to stop.
Even if the driver did hit a deer - the driver should have stopped. Good grief. Anonymous - I so sorry for your loss.
"Police said the bike rider was in the crosswalk but the red light for the crosswalk was on." Maybe u didnt see this part, bicyclist crossing on a don cross, not the van drivers fault
so, like the cop that hit and killed a guy last year, no charges?
my sister was killed last month in a hit & run. the driver took the time to stop & pick up car parts that were lying on the ground. they didn't stop to see if she was ok or call for help.
I seen this accident this morning. No deer in this area sorry..the boy was using the crosswalk while crossing the street. People need to pay more attention. this is a sad reminder of how people don't pay attention then run..the driver needs to pay for what they have done.
Well the reason why the van didn't stop is prob.they don't have a DL or insurance or Registration etc.
The driver probably thought he hit a dear. Come on, turn yourself in, accidents happen and you just make it worse by running away.
