Wichita Police are investigating the discovery of a man found inside a burned vehicle as a homicide. Officers provided new details on the case this morning.

The man found inside the vehicle is believed to be a 23-year-old Wichita man. His mother reported him missing Wednesday, but hadn't seen him since September 6th.

Officers said the man's body was found in the back of the SUV, in the 2400 block of South Meridian. There are signs he had been bound. The body also showed signs of decomposition.

The burned car is a White Ford Explorer with personalized license plate "EXCUSME". The car belonged to the man's mother.

If you saw the car in recent days, please call 911.
