A Wichita woman reports she was robbed at gunpoint by a man claiming to be a police detective. It happened late Friday in the 1300 block of North Pershing, according to Sergeant Brad Agnew.
The woman told officers that she and her child started to leave their home when they noticed a car pulled in behind them and blocked their path out of the driveway.
A male reportedly approached the car and identified himself as a detective and showed a badge attached to his belt.
The man then stated he had a search warrant in regards to a person who lived at the house. The victim went back into the house with the man, who held her at gunpoint. He then started taking things from inside.
when the woman's cell phone rang, he reportedly stole it from her and then ran off. He also took her keys and some personal belongings.
