Law enforcement agencies in Central Kansas are on the lookout for a daring bank robber. Just after 3:00 Friday, the Bennington State Bank in Salina was robbed.

Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield says the suspect is described as a white male, around 6' to 6'4" tall, weighing about 220 pounds. He had brown hair with a mustache and a goatee and was wearing a blue KU cap, a blue/gray V-neck sweater, khaki pants and white shoes. Surveillance pictures also show the robber had a large gold ring on his left ring finger.

The robber produced a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount. It is believed he left on foot and then entered a light brown, late model passenger car... possibly a Buick Le Sabre or Ford Taurus. The car was parked nearby on 10th street and the robber left north bound.

Anyone who has seen a suspect of matching this description is asked to call the Salina Police Department or 911. Do not confront the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous.
