Three young men got the scare of their lives after one of them lost control of a car and landed in a pond. Sumner County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the area of 90th North and Hydraulic around 7:30 Thursday evening. They found a car upside down in a private pond near the intersection.
The driver reported that a light came on in the dashboard of his 2001 Pontiac Grand Am just before he lost control of the steering. The car veered off the roadway at a curve and rolled into the pond, landing upside down.
The driver, Matthew McCutcheon and his front seat passenger, Jeffrey Crissler, escaped the vehicle without injury. The backseat passenger, Andrew Larson, was seriously injured and was lucky to escape without drowning.
All three men are reportedly in their early 20s.
