For a few brief minutes, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will hold center stage at the Democratic convention.
Sebelius will be among five speakers Tuesday who will talk during the one-hour block starting at 8 p.m. Central time before turning the podium over to the night's keynote speaker, former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner.
Sebelius was an early supporter of Barack Obama for president, and there was speculation that she was on his short list for vice president.
Her appearance is seen by many Democrats as confirmation that she's highly regarded by national party officials. In January, she delivered the party's response to President Bush's State of the Union.
