There may be another player in the race for Wichita mayor. A write-in campaign is already underway for Joan Cole, who came in third in the primary behind Carlos Mayans and Bill Warren.

John Anderson is also running his own write-in campaign. Now, someone with a familiar last name is throwing her hat into the ring. Jane Knight, wife of Wichita mayor Bob Knight announced late Wednesday afternoon that she's is a write-in candidate for mayor.

Jane says her husband has served as mayor of Wichita for years. Now, it's her turn.

Jane Knight says, "I have the opportunity to step forward in my own right. I have opinions. We often agree, but we don't always agree."

The two formal candidates for Wichita mayor says the number of write-in candidates entering the race doesn't bother them.

Bill Warren says, "I think it's truly healthy if someone wants to mount a write-in I think that's very healthy for the city I think that's just part of democracy."

Carlos Mayans says, "I think the people of Wichita spoke in the primary as who they wanted the candidates to be so we are comfortable with that."

The election is Tuesday, April 1.
