A man is in police custody, after he got into a standoff with authorities at his Rose Hill home.

At about 7 p.m. last night, Rose Hill Police Chief Bob Sage said a man in his 20's became distraught. A woman inside the home saw him load a firearm. She called 911, then left the house.

When police arrived, they set up a perimeter around the area until a tactical team could arrive from Butler County.

Sage said a negotiator contacted the man on his cell phone and talked him to peacefully walk out of the house.

Police arrested the man, but Sage said no criminal charges would be filed against him.
