As we hear about the first American casualties, the war may take an even bigger toll on us mentally and phsyically. Psychologists say that's why its important to give ourselves a break from all the coverage.

"Listen to your own body. Pay attention to your own signs and symptoms that you're being inundated with. If that the barage of information is too much stop and gauge it", said Wichita psychologist Beth McGilley.

Here's how you can cope with the stress of war:

  • Stay connected-talk to family and friends about your fears and what's on your mind.

  • Make time to relax & exercise

  • Maintain your routine. While you can't control the war, you can control some things in your life.
