A young Butler County girl who was pulled from a swimming pool last week has died from her injuries.
3-year-old Brooke Madison Luginbill was pulled from an above ground pool near Douglass last week. She died days after she was taken to a Wichita hospital.
A family member said the girl climbed a four-foot gate to the pool and fell in. Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy said the pool owners took every precaution. He called the girl's death a tragic accident.
