A 55-year-old Tonganoxie man is dead after his motorcycle crashed on Kansas 16, west of Tonganoxie.
Leavenworth County deputies say Ronald Starcher was riding his Harley-Davidson late Saturday night when it left the road, entered the grass median and then crashed into a ditch.
Witnesses performed CPR on Starcher until EMTs arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said Starcher was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The sheriff's office continues to investigate the accident.
