Hecklers came out to greet Janet Reno Tuesday night during a speech at Wichita State University. One man was escorted out after he taunted the former U.S. Attorney General by chanting the name Elian Gonzalez.
But Reno defended her actions in international child custody case. She said evidence showed that the boy's father was a good dad and that children belong with their parents.
Reno said that politics shouldn't dictate where children live.
Some audience members also criticized Reno for the 1993 showdown at Waco. The hecklers said Reno killed innocent children.
Since losing the Florida Democratic primary for governor, Reno said she has been kayaking and speaking on issues important to her.
