A storm chaser denies accusations he doctored video footage from a 2004 tornado in Rock, Kansas, and sold it under the pretense it was taken last week in Nebraska.
The Associated Press and video services for CBS, NBC and Fox pulled the video late Tuesday after determining there was enough evidence to question its authenticity.
Andy Fabel sold the footage to AP and provided it to other news organizations.
A fellow storm chaser, Dan Robinson of Appalachian Skies Media, says the video was a doctored version of footage captured in 2004.
He says the image was "flipped" so the tornado appears pointed in a different direction and the action sped up.
Fabel, however, tells the AP that the footage is genuine and blames the accusations on jealousy.
