A robbery investigation that sent an elderly
Wichita couple to the hospital may turn into a homicide case.
Police say Jim and Dorothy Slaughter were beaten with a blunt
object two weeks ago and left in critical condition.
Dorothy Slaughter died today. Her husband has been released from
the hospital.
Police have few leads and ask the public's help in locating the
person or persons responsible for the attack.
The suspect is thought to have entered the couple's home through
a broken basement window.
