A teenage girl is dead after she was shot in the torso, near the 3000 block of E. 11th Street N. in Wichita around 11:30 p.m. Monday night. Police said road rage may have been a factor.

Homicide Lt. Ken Landwehr said Tuesday that two young women were driving behind a white Pontiac Grand Am Monday night when the Grand Am stopped abruptly in the middle of the street.

The 18-year-old woman driving the second car honked her horn and then drove around the Pontiac and parked down the street. Landwehr said that the Pontiac followed them.

Police said the two sides exchanged words and then one of the two men pulled a gun and fired, hitting the 17-year-old at least once. She later died.

Two men are being sought.

Police identified the victim as Iesha Donaby of Arkansas. The 18-year-old driver was not hurt.

Donaby was spending the summer in Wichita with her uncle.

Police said there are two male suspects in this case. They were last seen in a white, late 90's Pontiac Grand Am. If you have any information in the case, call 911 or Crimestoppers at 267-2111.
