Residents of an assisted living center that was torn apart by the Greensburg tornado are headed home, nearly 14 months after they were forced into temporary quarters.

Dozens of residents of Greensburg's Carriage House Assisted Living Center moved into different facilities until their building was made livable again. It was heavily damaged when the May 4, 2007, twister nearly wiped out the town.

For some, the move Monday was bittersweet. Thelma Rinehart said they didn't know what to expect when they arrived at the center in Augusta to wait for the Greensburg home to he repaired.

Rinehart said "We didn't expect to be here this long, but we really enjoyed it.''
