UPDATE: 2 killed in southwest Kansas crash identified

GREENSBURG, Kan. — Two people are dead following an early morning crash in southwest Kansas.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of US 54 and US 183 west of Greensburg.

Troopers said a Chrysler 300 sedan was northbound on Highway 183 and failed to yield to a westbound FedEx truck. The FedEx truck hit the passenger side of the car, killing both people inside.

The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Aurora Diane Balch and Donald Anthony Barrs, both of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

The 58-year-old truck driver from Texas suffered minor injuries.
