WICHITA, Kan. -- A man and woman were hurt Friday evening when a car and motorcycle collided in northeast Wichita.

It happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of 21st Street North and Webb Road.

Sgt. John Ryan said the driver of a silver Pontiac Grand Prix didn't see the eastbound motorcycle and turned left in front of it. The 42-year-old man driving the Harley suffered a leg injury and was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. Ryan said he was not wearing a helmet.

A woman who was on the back of the bike was also taken to the hospital for observation. She was wearing a helmet, Ryan said.
